Power and Efficiency

The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine of the 2025 G550 generates 443 horsepower when mated to a nine-speed automated gearbox and comes standard with all-wheel drive. 

Improved Off-Road Functionality

The G Professional variant adds tough trim, adjustable suspension, and chunky tires for off-road activities  that get more serious. 

Aerodynamic Updates

These include a roof spoiler to increase airflow, along with redesigned A-pillars, front bumper, and grille—all shared with the new electric G.

Infotainment Enhancements

Updated software for the MBUX infotainment interface, an optional rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.6-inch screens, and a new 360-degree camera

When compared to its predecessor,  the current G550 model has improved driving manners. It does not have the characteristic V-8 engine sound, but it does have an independent front suspension
